In May of 2022, the Associated General Contractor of America (AGC) recorded the highest number of construction job openings since the turn of the century. At the same time, analysis of Bureau of Labor Statistics data by the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) shows construction employees are quitting at twice the rate of layoffs or discharges. A trend that has remained consistent over the past 16 months.
To solve this talent retention dilemma, we first needed your help to understand why.
A co-venture initiative between Construction Progress Coalition (CPC), Brick & Mortar Ventures, NAWIC, and WiOPS engaged with Pulsely.io, leader in DEI analytics, to produce a groundbreaking study about the root causes of poor talent retention in the construction industry. The results can be viewed by clicking the links above.
To understand how the talent retention in your organization compares to the industry, contact Pulsely to launch an internal DEI survey or to learn about other metrics to assess DEI.
