In May of 2022, the Associated General Contractor of America (AGC) recorded the highest number of construction job openings since the turn of the century. At the same time, analysis of Bureau of Labor Statistics data by the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) shows construction employees are quitting at twice the rate of layoffs or discharges. A trend that has remained consistent over the past 16 months.
